Reason Joined Be Fit: I have always been active joining group classes, running, doing yoga, but I was not able to lose weight in a disciplined and consistent way. Be Fit has been the perfect opportunity to learn more about how to associate the right diet to the physical activity I was already doing.
How Be Fit Helped: The most valuable benefit has been learning about mindful and healthy nutrition. I used to eat out a lot and not pay attention to portion sizes and food combinations. The recipes, meal planning templates, and team classes helped me to be more careful, while still enjoying food and the social moments of eating. Of course, there is a bit of sacrifice if you want to lose weight, but doing it in such an informed way has made it a daily habit and I have found it easier to keep as my own lifestyle.
Favorite Thing About Be Fit: I loved having a personal plan with my personal trainer (TJ Chella) and dietitian (Alexandra Regalado), while at the same time being part of a team. I’m a goal-driven person and knowing that there are small challenges every week definitely motivated me - if I did not have the right energy, some team members would motivate me to do good for the team’s sake. Not to forget the meditation part of the program. I always wanted to learn. I made more time for it and explored different ways to do it.
